Baramati: A training aircraft crashed once again in Baramati on Tuesday, triggering concern in the region over repeated aviation training incidents. The accident reportedly took place around half an hour before the news surfaced in the Gojubavi village area of Baramati taluka.
According to preliminary information, the aircraft belonged to Redbird Flight Training Academy and was being used for pilot training operations when it went down within the limits of Gojubavi village. The exact reason behind the crash is still not known, and authorities are expected to investigate the incident.
Officials said the pilot managed to escape safely, and no casualties have been reported so far.
This is not the first such incident linked to training aircraft operations in Baramati. Earlier too, aircraft associated with Redbird had reportedly crashed in the same region. The area is known for aviation training activities, with organizations such as Redbird Flight Training Academy and Carver Aviation conducting pilot training programs in Baramati.
The latest crash has once again raised questions over safety measures and operational monitoring at pilot training centers operating in the region.
Notably, an aircraft linked to Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had also reportedly met with an accident in the same village area in the past.
