Nagpur: Intensifying action against vehicles with tinted glass and black flims, the Traffic Police Department on Monday launched a citywide drive against the such vehicles.
Several drivers were caught and fined by the traffic police on the day of campaign. Black film was also removed from cars and auto windscreens on the spot. The drive which is likely to be continued by the end of this week.
It is prominent to mention that the Supreme Court (SC) prohibited the use of black films of any visual light transmission (VLT) percentage or any other material upon the safety glasses, windscreens (front and rear) and side glasses of all vehicles throughout the country.
However many tends to violates the SC rule, following which the campaign has been launched to ensure adherence to the SC order.
