Tracing and Testing: 3 with foreign travel history test positive for Covid-19, 30 still at large

Nagpur: Three international flyers with travel history of Africa and United Kingdom (UK) have tested positive for Covid-19, here on Monday sources said.

The positive persons include a 40-year-old man from Burkina Faso, West Africa who arrived in Nagpur via Delhi and a 39-year-old woman and her 9-year-old daughter from the UK who landed in the city from Mumbai. Their samples have been sent for genome sequencing.

It is pertinent to mention that Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has started tracing and testing of passengers with foreign travel history. NMC has joined hands with Nagpur Police to trace these passengers. Of 175, 145 passengers have been traced and tested. Besides, three passengers, all were reportedly tested negative for the virus borne disease. Notably, out of 175 passengers who had arrived from abroad, search for 30 people is still underway.
