Nagpur: The Samadhan Shibir, a camp to redress public complaints, scheduled to be held for Nagpur South assembly constituency on August 2 has been postponed because of national morning for former President APJ Abdul Kalam. According to an official note by tehsildar Satish Samarth, the camp will now be held on August 9.

The Samadhan Shibir is a novel idea of the state government to take up people’s grievances in every assembly constituency. It was started with chief minister Devendra Fadnavis’s seat of South-West Nagpur last month. The second in the series was to be held in South Nagpur represented by BJP MLA Sudhakar Kohale.

District guardian minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule in his review of preparations last week noted that over 800 applications were received from people of the constituency and the complaints were being resolved. The chief minister was to remain present for the camp along with officers of NIT, NMC and 33 departments of the government.
