Despite ongoing efforts from the National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), Railways, and MFD, wildlife continues to face dangers on the SECR tracks between Gondia and Chanda. Recently, a tiger was fatally struck by a train near Arjuni Morgaon, close to the NNTR.
Over the past 15 days, four sloth bears and a gaur have also been killed in similar incidents. This rising toll highlights the urgent need for improved protective measures along these tracks.
