Nagpur: Unit-03 of Nagpur Police Crime Branch arrested three antisocial elements and seized an imported pistol with a magazine and two live cartridges from them.

The accused have been identified as Mohammad Firoz Mohammad Abdul Ansari (24), a resident of Plot No 85, Deen Bandhu Society, Gulshan Nagar, Kalamna, Karim Raja Mohammad Yunus (24), a resident of Memon Colony, Old Kamptee Road, and Mohammad Shakib alias Patel Mohammad Siddiqui (28), a resident of Quarter No 45/12, Sanjeevani Colony.

They told investigators that they had procured the firearm from Abdul Sohail alias Sobu, a resident of Satranjipura and one Azhar from Nizamuddin Colony. Cops launched a search for Abdul Sohail and Azhar.

The accused trio were handed over to Kalamna Police who registered a case under Sections 3/25 of the Arms Act, read with Section 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act against them. The arrests were made by PI Mukund Thakre, PSI Navnath Devkate, ASI Milind Choudhary and others.
