Nagpur: This police officer is emerging as the terror in the minds of criminals in the vast area of Hudkeshwar Police Station. So much is fear that some goons have embarked on exodus to other “safer” areas. He is much whispered ‘topic’ among criminal circles. The most discussed line is that this police officer “talks with his gun.” Not to mention, criminals tremble. He has encountered two notorious goons, they say. This cop prefers plainclothes rather than the khaki. He plays cat-and-mouse game with anti-socials and inevitably emerges winner. He is Kishore Pandurang Chaudhari, the new Second Police Inspector of Hudkeshwar Police Station.
Chaudhari was transferred from Pune to Nagpur as Police Inspector on January 8, 2017. He took charge as Second Police Inspector at Hudkeshwar Police Station on January 11. The post was lying vacant since past many days. Senior Police Inspector Sunil Jhavre was handling the affairs of Hudkeshwar as In-charge. Having a vast area, Hudkeshwar is fast emerging as “crime area” with incidents of serious nature raising their ugly heads on days and nights. Road robberies, house-breakings, thefts are reported rampantly. The Second PI Chaudhari has his job cut out. Curb the crimes with heavy hand. And he is doing his job in his own style.
Kishore Chaudhari is son of a farmer. He graduated from Pune’s Ferguson College in 1983. In 1985-86, he did a teacher’s job in a private school and taught students of Class X. With a desire to join police force, Chaudhari appeared for MPSC exam in 1992 and cleared it with distinction. He got 249 marks out of 300.
Dream came true for Kishore Chaudhari as he joined State Police Department in 1993. As PSI, he worked at many places including Amravati, Satara, Mumbai Crime Branch, Raigad, Thane Rural, Pune City etc. He was promoted as API in 2014 and PI in April 2016. He served as PI in Pune for a short while and was transferred to Nagpur. He took the charge as Second PI in Hudkeshwar Police Station.
Chaudhari shot to fame while serving Pune City Crime Branch Unit 3 as PSI. He eliminated two dreaded goons in an encounter in June 2005. Baba Shivaji Gandle and Sanjay Shelke were professional contract killers. 64 cases were registered against Gandle and Shelke faced 28. Baba Gandle was an absconder in police book. He was even undergoing life term. The notorious goon Gandle had fired a bullet from inside a Police Station. He had escaped from police custody as well.
As PSI, Chaudhari took the cudgels and eliminated the two dreaded criminals in an encounter in Pune city. Since then, the police officer has emerged as terror in the minds of history-sheeters.
Criminals active in Hudkeshwar Police Station area tremble in the name of Second PI Kishore Chaudhari. “He talks with gun,” are the words of goons.
