Thieves thrash youth, looted him of Rs 26,500

In a daring theft, youths looted cash Rs 20,000 from another youth, forcefully dragged him to an ATM and threatened him to withdraw cash and relived him of Rs 26,500.

According to report, Tushar Balkrishna Kolhe (26), a resident of Chhota Tajabad, Surve layout, Sakkardara was heading towards her friend’s house on his Activa moped. Four unidentified youths blocked Tushar’s way at the road between Rahate Colony Square and Mata Kacheri, and threatened him on knife point. The youths then thrashed Tushar and snatched cash Rs 20,500 from his pocket. The youths also snatched his two cell phones Rs 6000 each. Later, the youths took Tushar to an HDFC Bank ATM and asked him to withdraw Rs 300. They left Tushar at Rameshwari Square.

Tushar reached Dhantoli police station and lodged a complaint against the youths. Cops have registered an offence under Sections 394 and 34 of the IPC.
