Nagpur: An 18-year-old girl committed suicide by setting self ablaze on Monday night under the jurisdiction of Kalamna police station.
The deceased has been identified as Monali Haridas Sahare (18), a resident of Pardi, Rambhoomi Nagar. Monali poured kerosene on herself at around 10.30 am on Monday at her residence. Her family members rushed her Indira Gandhi Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. However, she succumbed to her burn injuries.
Kalamna police have registered a case of accidental death and started their investigations. Police said, no concrete reason behind this extreme step by Monali has been established so far.
