Teenage girl robbed of Rs 11,000 by trickster at PNB branch in Kharbi

Nagpur: A teenage girl who gone to deposit money in Kharbi branch of Punjab National Bank was robbed of Rs 11,000 by a trickster on the pretext of counting of notes.

A resident of Plot No. 17, Saibaba Nagar, Kharbi, Shubhangi Dilip Gadecha (19), around 12.30 pm on Thursday, went to Orange Nagar Branch of Punjab National Bank, Kharbi, to deposit money. As Shubhangi was waiting for her turn at the counter, an unidentified man (aged 30-35) approached her and offered help in neatly arranging wad of Rs 50,000. The man took Rs 50,000 for counting and later slyly removed Rs 11,000 by diverting Shubhangi’s attention. When she counted the money at the counter, she found Rs 11,000 less.

Nandanvan Woman PSI S D Sonone, based on Shubhangi’s complaint, registered an offence against the unidentified conman under Section 420 of the IPC and searching for him.
