A teen driver has been charged after he hit and killed a 52-year-old man by his bike on Wednesday night at Ring Road.

Charges were filed against one Vishal Baburao Bhajbhuje (19), a resident of Plot No. 45, Pratap Nagar, for negligent driving resulting in the death of Dayal Mewaldas Kondwani (52), a resident of Plot No. 392, Sindhi Colony, Khamla. According to information, Dayal was crossing Ring Road when Vishal lost his control over his speeding bike (MH 31 DQ 653) and struck Dayal resulting in his death.

On the complaint of deceased’s brother Umesh Mewaldas Kondwani (44), Pratap Nagar police slapped charges under Sections 279, and 304 (a) of the IPC against Vishal and took him into custody. Further investigation is under way.
