Syndicate Bank Nagpur opens 410 accounts under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana

At a simple function held on 28th August 2014, to coincide with the launching of the prestigious JAN DHAN YOJANA launched by the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, SyndicateBank, Kingsway Nagpur branch has opened 410 accounts by organizing a door to door campaign and have handed over the pass books and Rupay Card (Debit Card) to the new account holders who were present on this occasion.

The function was held near Ganesh Temple, Mohan Nagar, Khalasi Lines, Nagpur. The Pass books and Debit cards were handed over by Vinay Baliram Sahare — Chief Guest of the function in the presence of Papa Walde(Papa Bhaiyya), who was the Guest of honour, and Jagmohan Pachisia – Senior Citizen and a prominent customer of the Bank.

V.L. Dharmik, Senior Branch Manager in his brief speech informed the account holders about the benefits of the scheme, i.e. a/c holders will be covered by insurance, Rupay Debit cards to be issued to a/c holders and zero balance banking (no minimum b2 lance charges). He also lauded and appreciated the efforts made by Papa Walde, Akshay Sahare, Dilip Yenkeshwar, Sudhir Rewatkar and Prakash Gajbhiye who along with the Bank staff worked hard in opening of the accounts under this scheme launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister — Narendra Modi with the mantra that every house should have at least one Bank account.
