Suresh Dande’s ‘Shyam-E-Ghazal’ makes evening a memorable one!!

Nagpur: A select audience of Nagpurians cherished the twilight evening on Sunday added with cloudy skies and soul-searching tunes of ‘Ghazal’ masterpiece. The evening was to be experienced and enjoyed. The occasion was Suresh Dande’s ‘Shyam-E-Ghazal Maifil’ organized at Chitnis Center. The city organization “Mudra” ably brought the “Swarsandhya” to the diehard fans of Ghazals.

“Chand Angdeeiya Le Raha Hain…,” “Dil Me Ek Laharsi Uthi Hain Abhi…,” “Patthar ke Jigarwalo…,” “Diwaron Se Milkar Rona Achha Lagta Hain…,” “Naina Tose Lage Saari Raina Jage….,” “Sine me Jalan…,” “Ranjeesh hi Sahi….,” and many more scintillating numbers drew loud cheers from the audience. The knowledgeable fans desired the masterpiece Ghazals to be heard once and again. A number of Ghazals made immemorial by the greats like Gulam Ali, Mehdi Hasan, Jagjit Singh, Suresh Wadkar, Anup Jalota and other masters were presented by Suresh Dande accompanied ably by his younger sibling Shashank Dande.

The classing song “Mere Mehboob Tujhe Meri Mohabbat ki Kasam” was rendered equally in a classic way. Respecting the demand from the audience, Suresh Dande not only presented the “Surya Kevhach Andharla Yarho” but saluted the memories of Suresh Bhat.
The cherishing “Shyam-E-Ghazal” evening concluded with “Zindagi Ke Raho Me Ranjo Gam Ke Mele Hain” Bhairavi rendition. Other artists who provided accompaniment to Suresh Dande include Shekhar Dande on synthesizer and Dhirendra Gawande on Tabla.
The colourful compering by Nitin Bhat was icing on the cake.
