Supreme Court judge refuses to work on Good Friday, pulled up by CJ

NewDelhi/Nagpur: According to a Times of India report, the Chief Justice of India has pulled up a Supreme Court judge for refusing to work on Good Friday.

Justice Kurian Joseph had questioned CJI HL Dattu’s decision to call a judges’ conference on Friday. Justice Joseph had written on March 18 to the CJI saying he will be unable to attend the conference as it is a holy day as per his faith.
