Summer Camp “Final Fling” organised for children 7 to 14 years in Nagpur

Nagpur: The summer camp at Nagpur concluded with an exuberant grand finale, aptly named “Final Fling.” The event marked the culmination of a 12-day camp that offered a diverse array of activities designed to educate, entertain, and inspire the young participants. The camp was inaugurated by the noted social entrepreneur Tanveer Mirza on May 12, 2024, said a press release issued by Mohd. Ziyaullah Khan, Secretary, PSF Nagpur Chapter.

Organised by the JIH Nagpur West unit in collaboration with the Professional Solidarity Forum Nagpur Chapter, the camp saw around 60 children aged 7 to 14 years actively participating and benefiting from a well-rounded program. Over the course of the camp, the children engaged in various enriching sessions including moral and Islamic storytelling, confidence building, leadership training, emotional intelligence and IQ development, as well as a cold cooking session. Physical activities such as sports, horse riding, and a visit to TTC Seminary Hills added an element of adventure and excitement to the camp experience.

The grand finale, “Final Fling,” was a vibrant celebration of the campers’ achievements and learning. Young participants showcased their talents through skits, speeches, nasheeds, and other performances. The energy and enthusiasm of the children were palpable as they took the stage, displaying the skills and confidence they had developed over the camp’s duration.

Parents and guests in attendance were treated to a variety of performances that highlighted the themes of the camp. Skits based on moral stories and leadership lessons were particularly well-received, as were the nasheeds, which reflected the children’s understanding of Islamic teachings.

One of the highlights of the final day was the prize distribution ceremony. Camp organizers awarded prizes for outstanding performances and active participation throughout the camp. The recognition of their efforts and achievements was a proud moment for the young campers and their families.

The camp featured a host of esteemed resource persons who played a pivotal role in enriching the children’s experience. Among them were motivational speaker Khwaja Sajid, Dr. Vajeda Kardar, Dr. Mohd. Soheb, Md Shakirul Akram Falahi, Asrar Hamid Sir, Ashraf Belim Sir, Dr. Shazia Khan, Sabahat Firdous Ma’am, Sumaiya Sayyed, Summaiya Sayed, Q Bushra, and. Benazeer Khan. Their sessions provided valuable insights and guidance, greatly benefiting the young attendees. Dr. Zubair Quazi conducted a dental check up for the children to create awareness about oral health during the camp.
