Salman Khan’s much awaited Sultan is out with its first day collection and the figures are not very much inspiring. The opening day collection of Salman Khan’s latest film ‘Sultan’, also starring Anushka Sharma, has raked in as much as Rs 37-38 crore on its opening day according to BoxofficeIndia.com.

Although this has been the highest opening figure of the year, Salman’s all-time highest first-day grosser still remains Sooraj Barjatya’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which had grossed a whopping Rs 40 crore on day one. Blame it on the non-holiday release or the uncertain Eid date, but this Salman-starrer flick missed to shatter records with just a minute scale.

Meanwhile, the business is expected to gain its pace with the Eid holiday and upcoming weekend. Salman’s films are expected to go beyond the conventional boundaries of Rs 100-crore club and even this time, the expectations are sky rocketing with this Ali Abbas Zafar’s directorial. Also, the reviews and Twitter reactions of this film has been phenomenal up till now. Let’s wait and watch what the film has in store for us in the coming days as far as the box office figures are concerned.
