Nagpur: Anjuman High School and Junior College defeated Sindhu Junior College 2-0 to win Subroto Mukherjee Inter-School Under-17 Football Tournament that was organised by DSO at Police Line Takli ground on Thursday.
Anjuman were leading by 1-0 in the first half. Thanks to Mohammad Sharif who drew the first blood in the 20th minute. After a change of ends, Mohammad Anwar netted another goal in the 37th minute.
Meanwhile in suburb category, Modern School, Koraid thrashed Tuli Public School 5-0 whereas BKCP got the bettet of Bhonsala Militry 5-4 via tie-breaker. St Joseph’s Kamptee downed St Ann’s 1-0. Bhavans Ashti defeated Pragtik Vidyalaya 1-0. The Jain Internaitonal too overcame Pragatik Vidyalaya 1-0. MM Rabbani thrashed K John Saoner 3-1.
