Students can bring change in society through education: Bhagwat

bagwatNagpur: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat today said students have the potential to bring transformation in society through education.

Addressing the alumni meet of Nagpur veterinary college of which he is an alumni as the chef guest , Dr Bhagwat said here after getting education the students can contribute in development of society.

He appealed to the students and teachers to conserve water, forest and land saying that it was everybody’s responsibility to conserve the natural resources.On this occasion union minister of state for agriculture Sanjeev Kumar Balyan said the government was giving emphasis on the veterinary education at par with medical and engineering.

He said the stipend of the veterinary interns have been increased to Rs 15,000 and their grade have been made equal to that of medical and engineering interns.The minister informed that Rs 36 crore have been sanctioned to improve the quality of the veterinary colleges across the state and all existing veterinary colleges will be made resourceful for imparting better education. He said the government was also concentrating on development of dairy or which Rs 850 crore have been sanctioned. The ministry was planning to improve the breed of cattle specially cow.
