Nagpur: After a sunny day, Nagpur and parts of Central India experienced sudden change in weather that came as a pleasant surprise. Unexpected changes in weather were seen after winds grew strong and the sky became cloudy. Light showers coupled with winds continued till late at night here in city, giving much needed respite to Nagpurians from humidity.
The temperature plunged significantly, giving a feel of winter. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, some parts of Vidarbha will experience hailstorm and heavy rains in the next 24 hours.
An air cyclonic circulation has developed 1.5 kilometers above sea level near Bihar which has traveled towards South Chandigarh and is about to reach Vidarbha skies soon. The dark clouds and strong winds are a result of the same.
The day began with a sunny weather and strong sun rays, while the weather turned windy post 2 pm. It rained in some parts of the city which continued late at night. Strong winds lashed the city after sunset and cold winds blew through the night.
The maximum and minimum temperatures remained 3 degrees above normal while the maximum temperatures in Chandrapur and Amravati went up to 38 degrees.
