Authorities explained that earlier consumers could book two domestic LPG cylinders within a month, but now bookings will be accepted only after 21 days. This precautionary measure has been introduced to ensure that domestic cylinders remain available for household consumers and to avoid any shortage.

To monitor the situation closely, two teams have been formed in the district. One team will function under the leadership of District Supply Officer Anand Padole, while the second team will be led by Food and Civil Supplies Officer Vinod Kale. Officials from HPCL, IOCL, and BPCL will also be part of these teams.

Food and Civil Supplies Officer Vinod Kale said that strict action will be taken if domestic cylinders are found being used in hotels. He added that the district currently has adequate stock of commercial LPG cylinders.

Inspection drives were carried out at several hotels on Monday, but no misuse of domestic cylinders was found. Officials also confirmed that no complaints regarding shortage of commercial cylinders have been received so far.

Meanwhile, home delivery of domestic LPG cylinders continues normally, and consumers will be able to book their next cylinder only after the stipulated 21-day period.
