Nagpur: Unidentified burglars targeted a parked truck and decamped with stock of bananas worth Rs 4.75 lakh in the intervening night of Thursday and Friday.
The complainant, Habib Khan Mateen Khan (37), resident of Mahendra Nagar, loaded a stock of bananas in his six-wheeler truck (MH-31/DS 1447) and parked the vehicle in front of a shop in Santra Market area. Habib probably went to have a sleep before proceeding to his destination. However, between 10 pm of Thursday and 10 am of Friday, some unidentified miscreants broke open lock of the truck and took it to a place and then offloaded stock of bananas worth Rs 4.75 lakh. When the theft came to notice of Habib, he lodged a complaint with Ganeshpeth police.
PSI R S Deokar has booked the unidentified accused burglars under Section 379 of IPC and is searching for them.
