Nagpur: At around 9:30 am on September 24, 2016, there was a minor accident between a Star Bus and an Auto-rickshaw. However, a small argument escalated to bigger proportions and soon the drivers of many Star Buses plying in the area joined and parked their buses in a haphazard manner blocking the smooth flow of traffic.

According to sources, the driver of Star Bus bearing RTO Registration No MH-31/ CA-6113 had stopped his bus at a point near Vijay Talkies. However, an auto-rickshaw driver had got into an argument with the Star Bus driver demanding to know why he stopped the Star bus at that point. The auto-rickshaw driver allegedly assaulted the Star Bus Driver.

The Star Bus driver got irked and he in turn informed the other Star Bus Drivers plying on the road. They all had allegedly parked their busses in a haphazard manner causing a traffic jam.

On receiving the information, the cops of Ganeshpeth Police Station led by Assistant Commissioner of Police Machindera Chauwan rushed to the spot and got the Star Bus drivers to remove the haphazardly parked buses and eased the traffic jam.

While speaking to Nagpur Today, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone III) M. Rajkumar said that if the auto-rickshaw driver had indeed assaulted the Star bus driver, then he should have approached the police officials.

Their action of resorting to traffic jam by parking 10-15 Star buses is not an acceptable behavior. He said an investigation into the matter has already been initiated into the incident at Vijay Talkies Square. However, an action has also been initiated against the driver of star bus for his behavior.
