Nagpur: The newly elected Chairman of NMC’s Standing Committee Vicky Kukreja also assumed the post of Trustee of Nagpur Improvement Trust on Monday.
Mayot Nanda Jichkar, South Nagpur MLA and BJP City President Sudhakar Kohale, North Nagpur MLA Dr Milind Mane, MLC Anil Sole, Ruling Party Leader in NMC Sandeep Joshi, NIT Trustee Bhushan Shingne were present prominently on the occasion.
Kukreja in his speech assured to utmost priority to resolving problems of citizens. Various development projects are being carried out by Nagpur Municipal Corporation and Nagpur Improvement Trust across the city. But the development has not reached North Nagpur. Now, efforts will be made to carry of projects in this part. “Regularisation of unauthorised layouts and distribution of ownership rights to slum-dwellers will be speeded up through NIT,” Kukreja stated.
