Nagpur: The comedy show “5 Star Ke LOLStars featuring Biswa Kalyan Rath and Prashasti Singh’, which lasted for almost two hours, the enthusiastic buffs had a gala time at Deshpande Hall on Sunday as the stand up comedians tickled their funny bones.

The show kick-started with city based stand up comedian Amit Mishra took to the stage and cracked jokes on all funny things about his birth place Uttar Pradesh.

After a superb opening act, Mishra welcomed, ‘Comicstan’ fame comedian Prashashti Singh on the stage amidst loud cheers from the spectators. Singh took people on a laughter riot as she narrated several jokes right from her ex to her mom suggesting her to get married as she has turned 32. Her joke, that why she feels Mumbai is her home, due to all the people from her home (Uttar Pradesh) are in Mumbai, received non-stop applause from the audience. She also roasted few people seating in front row.

After Singh’s hilarious acts, the time was to welcome the one man army and star of the night Biswa Kalyan Rath.

Biswa started with the things we observe daily, but never try to understand it’s significance in our day to day life. He started his monologue with government classifying road into an ‘accident prone area’ and his witty remark that we didn’t vote you to power to write description on the roads. If there’s problem you (government) should solve it, rather than writing a description. His jokes on Indian education system and how it had fooled people by portraying the history over the years, forced audience to scratch their heads.

His sarcastic comments on creating Metro, Flyover both over already well constructed road that we Indians love digging the road enthralled the gathering. Biswa’s superb comic timing entertained one and all to the hilt.

Punchliners’ comedy night delivered an evening of the finest comic giving audience new comedy which surely enlightens everyone’s mood.
