He claimed that they have set-up systems and undertake some gene-tests which can forecast all the diseases and problems one will face when they grow older. While elaborating the system, he claimed that Angelina Jolie had undergone Breast Cancer treatment since she knew through the BRCA gene test which is a blood test that uses DNA analysis to identify harmful changes (mutations) in either one of the two breast cancer susceptibility genes — BRCA1 and BRCA2 which said that she may get Breast Cancer.

CEO of SRL Diagnostics Sanjeev Vashishta said that they are continuously striving to come out with Indian Tests which caters to diseases of Indians. They have an R&D department which is working continuously working on making most of the advanced tests on human body sensitive to Indian citizens. While elaborating this point, he said that they have 1) Caucasian races (Aryans, Hamites, Semites), 2) Mongolian races (northern Mongolian, Chinese and Indo-Chinese, Japanese and Korean etc), and 3) Negroid races (African, “Negrito”, Australian Aborigine, Dravidians, Sinhalese). The tests and the standards exist for all the three. However, the tests and the standards need to be different for people of different regions in India itself. This more or less proved the concept of Unity in diversity.
Government needs to come up with an ordinance
While answering to a query raised about the many unscrupulous Pathology Laboratories are running brisk business in Nagpur, CEO SRL Diagnostics Sanjeev Vashishta and Founder Chairman and Managing Director of KRIMS Hospital Dr. Ashok Arbat said that they are aware of this fact, but apart from a strong media support, the Central Government should come out with an ordinance. The Government should bring out specifications, laws, compulsory accreditations etc for running pathology laboratories. The Government should also monitor the manpower employed at Pathology and Radiology Laboratories. However, they also said that Health Care is a State Subject and various States follow different guidelines. He said that only a few states like Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh and Assam adheres to the NAAC’s Clinical Establishment Act.
