Sridevi's Body reached at Mumbai
Mumbai: Sridevi‘s mortal remains have reached Mumbai from Dubai after a thorough investigation, which went on for over 48 hours since February 24, when the iconic actress died. Arjun Kapoor, who joined Boney Kapoor in Dubai earlier in the day, to be by his side in this difficult time and also help him complete the procedures, was spotted with his father bringing the mortal remains of the late actress back to her home, Mumbai.

Sridevi was in Dubai with her husband, Boney, and daughter, Khushi Kapoor, attending her nephew, Mohit Marwah‘s wedding. However, she stayed back while her husband and daughter returned to Mumbai. On Saturday night, the 54-year-old actress was found motionless in the bathtub by her husband who had gone back to surprise her. Sridevi was rushed to Dubai’s Rashid Hospital but was declared brought dead.

It was earlier today that the Dubai Police gave a green signal to the family by giving out an official statement, that read, “Dubai Public Prosecution stressed that all regular procedures followed in such cases have been completed. As per the forensic report, the death of the Indian actress occurred due to accidental drowning following loss of consciousness. The case has now been closed.”

Khushi, Janhvi, Boney Kapoor, the entire Kapoor and Ayyappan families, extended their sincere thanks to the media for their continued sensitivity and support during this emotional moment. As per the statement, “The condolence meeting for respected Srideviji is slated to be held on February 28, 2018 at The Celebrations Club at Garden No. 5, Lokhandwala Complex, Andheri West from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.

The funeral and last rites will be held at Vile Parle Seva Samaj Crematorium and Hindu Cemetery, Next to Pawan Hans, SV Road, Vile Parle West from 3.30 to 5 PM.

“The last journey will commence at 2 pm from Celebration Sports Club to Pawan Hans. At the last rites, which is slated to take place tomorrow ie Wednesday, a sea of fans and Sridevi’s friends and colleagues from the various film industries are expected to be present to give a farewell to the late actress.
