Joining the latest wordy trail for intolerance is Bollywood perfectionist Aamir Khan who commented that his wife Kiran Rao feels worried and feared about their child in India and wishes to leave the country amidst growing intolerance. This comment snowballed into a fiery reaction from Anupam Kher.

Lashing out at Aamir Khan, Anupam Kher said that the actor should ‘spread hope instead of fear’.
In a series of tweets expressing disappointment over Khan’s remarks, Kher asked if Khan would suggest millions of Indians to leave the country or to wait till the regime changes.

Questioning Khan’s reaction, the veteran actor asked why he had not raised his voice earlier when the situation had been even worse.

he added in another tweet.

Speaking at the eighth edition of the Ramnath Goenka Excellence in Journalism Awards, Khan said that he has been “alarmed” by a number of incidences and his wife Kiran Rao even suggested that they should probably leave the country. He also virtually supported those returning their awards, saying one of the ways for creative people to express their dissatisfaction or disappointment is to return their awards.

“When I chat with Kiran at home, she says ‘Should we move out of India?’ That’s a disastrous and big statement for Kiran to make. She fears for her child. She fears about what the atmosphere around us will be. She feels scared to open the newspapers every day. That does indicate that there is this sense of growing disquiet, there is growing despondency apart from alarm. You feel why this is happening, you feel low. That sense does exist in me,” 50-year-old Aamir said.
