Nagpur: Life of a 5-year old boy was sniffed out abruptly and tragically on Sunday. The kid was playing in front of his house when a speeding water tanker crushed him to death. Shockingly, the water tanker driver did not stop the vehicle to know the fate of the boy and fled the spot. He has gone absconding and has not steel been traced by searching cops.
The heart-touching tragedy occurred when the 5-year old boy Akhtar Raza, resident of Plot No. 21, 22, KGN Society, near Gurunanak College, was playing in front of his house around 5 pm on Sunday totally unaware of death approaching him fast. The rashly driven water tanker (MH-04/S 5111) hit the playing kid and crushed him under the wheels. Akhtar Raza died on the spot. The senseless driver of the killer water tanker fled the spot not even bothering to know the fate of the kid fearing am angry backlash. Jaripatka cops reached the accident spot and sent the body of Akhtar Raza to Government Hospital for post-mortem.
API Dubal, based on a complaint lodged by Mohd Nasir Mohd Nazim (35), has registered an offence against the water tanker driver under Section 304(A) of the IPC read with Sub-Sections 134, 177 of Motor Vehicles Act and mounted a hunt to nab him.
