Nagpur News: A rashly driven truck knocked a motorcyclist dead under the jurisdiction of Sonegaon Police Station on Nagpur-Wardha road on Sunday night. Identified as Chandrashekhar Tarikram Ganvir (50), the deceased is a resident of Shatabdi Square.
Sources said, Chandrashekhar was heading towards his house on Sunday evening at around 6.40 pm when a rashly driven truck (CJ 04 JA 9274) hit his motorcycle. He was thrown away with the impact of the accident. The deceased, who was profusely bleeding, breathed his last on the spot after sustaining skin deep injuries. Fearing arrest, the culprit truck driver fled the spot.

A passerby informed Police Control Room and informed about the accident. On being informed, Sonegaon police reached the spot and performed panchnama and sent the body of the deceased for post-mortem. Police have registered an offence against the absconding truck drive and are further investigating the case.
