Nagpur: An iron-laden trailer truck ran over a road divider at Savarkar Nagar Square here on Wednesday morning and caused traffic jam for a while. The driver of the trailer truck, in order to save a reckless motorcyclist, lost control over his vehicle and drove it atop the road divider. The motorcyclist escaped with minor injuries but was admitted to a nearby private hospital. The driver of the trailer truck fled the scene fearing wrath of the people.
The truck trailer (CG-2909), driven by Yogesh Nagose, was proceeding towards Wardha Road from Pratapnagar Ring Road. Near Savarkar Square, a rashly driven motorcyclist crossed the heavy vehicle. In order to save the motorcycle (MH-31/4718) rider, the driver applied brakes in full force and in the process lost control over the vehicle. As a result, the heavy vehicle ran over the road divider and sat there.
Pratapnagar PSI Meshram reached the spot and started investigation.
