Nagpur: An elderly man was killed in an accident when he was hit by a speeding electric scooter near Shivaji Skating Club in Ambazari area.
The deceased was identified as Krishnarao Shriram Lokhande, a resident of Pratap Nagar. He was on his way to his shop when he was hit by a Bajaj Chetak scooter (MH-31/BZ4260) on July 31 at 3 pm.

Lokhande sustained critical injuries in the mishap. He was rushed to a hospital. On August 4, he was taken to Government Medical College and Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
The police are conducting investigations into the incident after registering a case under Sections 279, 338 and 304 (a) of the IPC.
