Special parking and security arrangements for Prime Minister’s visit to Nagpur

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to visit Nagpur city for the first time onAugust 21, 2014, after becoming PM. He will take part in a government function at Kasturchand Park Ground.

Thousands of party workers, party functionaries and dignitaries from Nagpur and various places are expected to converge at the venue on 2-wheelers, 4-wheelers, buses and other vehicles. In view of this and by way of safety measure, all vehicles have been banned in range of 200 meters from the venue.

All citizens and dignitaries are requested to co-operate for safety and to avoid traffic snarls and park their vehicles at the below given spots.

Vehicles coming from Amaravati Rd  will be parked at    1) Hislop College Football ground   2) MLA Hostel    3) Deshpande Hall   4) Ravinagar quarters ground

Vehicles coming from Wardha Rd will be parked at   1) Moris College football ground, Near Yeshwant Stadium   2) Patwardhan ground   3) Home Guards office, New English Highschool, Congressnagar  4) Dhanwate National College  5) New Kurvey’s Model     Highschool  6) ITI College  7) Deekshabhoomi  8) Airport Wireless Station.

Vehicles from Umred, Gadchiroli, Chimur, Bhandara and Gondia will be parked at  1) Motha Tajbaugh  2) Reshimbaugh Ground.

Vehicles from Katol Rd   will be parked at  1) Sarpanch Bhavan  2) Tirpude College  3) Vidarbha Mahila Hockey Assn  4) SFS Church   5) Zilla Parishad School   6) Police Headquarters   7) Saint Ursula Highschool

Vehicles from Chhinwara Rd will be parked at  1) SFS Church  2) Saint John School   3) All Saints House   4) Govt Polytechnic   5) Anjuman College   6) Krida Sankul

Vehicles from Kamptee Rd  will be parked at  1) Bishop Cotton School  2) SFS School  3) Church near Patni Automobile

Similarly in view of Narendra Modi’s visit to NTPC Project at Mouda, an Advanced Security Liaison meeting held was attended by Special Inspector General of Police, Ravindra Kadam, Deputy Inspector General of Police, S S Shriwastav and Nagpur rural superintendent of police, Dr Aarti Singh.

Security, parking and helipad arrangements were discussed in the meeting. Various department officials also took part in the meeting. S S Shrivastav inspected the venue site and he was accompanied by all the officials at this time.
