A spanco lost his life while working on an electric pole on Sunday, The deceased who fell straight from the electric pole has been identified as Kamptee resident Dharampal Tukaram Meshram, 52.
The pole which Meshram had fallen from had been sparking. Lineman Raghtate climbed the electric pole using a bamboo ladder. Meshram also climbed the ladder to hand the lineman a pair of pliers. Meshram lost his balance and fell to the ground head on. He suffered several injuries on his head in the process. He was then rushed to a nearby private hospital but was then sent to the Mayo hospital, where he was declared brought dead.
