It was earlier reported that Soundarya Rajnikanth, who got married to Ashwin Ramkumar in 2010 is on the rocks and that the couple have applied for divorce. It is being said that the Kochadaiiyaan filmmaker and the real estate scion have not been seeing eye-to-eye for some time. Soundarya has confirmed the same on her social media page.
Soundarya tweeted, “News about my marriage is true. We have been separated for over a year & divorce talks are on. I request all to respect my family’s privacy.”
While there are no details about what was the real deal-breaker, the buzz is that they have had a difference of opinion for a long time. Soundarya is most popular for directing her father in India’s first motion capture 3D Tamil film ‘Kochadaiiyaan’, and producing Venkat Prabhu-directed 2010 Tamil comedy ‘Goa’.
