Sonegaon cops nab murder accused
Nagpur:
In a swift action, Sonegaon police and Crime Branch jointly nabbed a murder accused within an hour of the crime.

According to details, the accused Randhir Rambahadur Singh (36), resident of Plot No. 290, Shivangaon and the deceased Kishor Shyamrao Patil (40), also the resident of Shivangaon, had a brawl around 7 pm on Thursday (July 28) over the petty issue of hosting the candidates in CRPF recruitment. Both the accused and the deceased wanted to host the candidates. A heated exchange of words erupted between the two. However, the wordy duel turned bloody when Randhir Rambahadur Singh suddenly assaulted Kishore Patil and thrashed him severely. The blows of fists and kicks proved fatal as Kishore collapsed and died on the spot. After the incident the accused Randhir Rambahadur Singh fled the spot and went absconding.

A team of Sonegaon police, led by Police Inspector Ashok Bagul, PI Kale, reached the spot immediately upon being informed and started their investigation. The Crime Branch sleuths too reached the scene. Using the latest technology such as CDR, last call, cell phone location and informants, the cops traced the whereabouts of the accused and within hour nabbed him.

The other members of the police team apart from PI Bagul, PI Kale include API Pagar Patil, WPSI Napte, constables Kishor, Sunil, Manish,members of DB squad. The successful action was carried under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police Dr. Suhas Warke, DCP Zone-1 Dipali Masirkar ,ACP Sonegaon Rina Janbandhu.
