Social media influencer Stylo, two others booked for hoarding act in Nagpur

Nagpur: Tehsil Police in Nagpur on Tuesday booked social media influencer Sameer Khan alias Sameer Stylo and two others for placing a hoarding atop a traffic signal near Netaji Chowk in front of Seva Sadan Building on Central Avenue. The hoarding showed an increase in the number of Sameer Stylo’s followers.

Senior Inspector Sandeep Buwa informed Anil Mankar, Junior Engineer, Zone 6, Nagpur Municipal Corporation, about the hoarding.

Mankar and his staff arrived at the spot and removed the hoarding. Following a complaint lodged by Mankar, police registered a case under relevant sections of the Maharashtra Prevention of Defacement of Property Act against Sameer Khan and two others.

Last year, Sameer Khan and his brother Amir Khan were booked by Cyber Police for allegedly outraging the modesty of a 16-year-old minor girl, who, too, was a social media influencer. The minor girl, whose popularity on social media was increasing, had a doubt that Sameer and Amir Khan would have circulated her cell number as she was receiving obscene phone calls.
