Six persons injured in auto-truck accident

Nagpur News: Six persons, including a senior citizen, were seriously injured when a truck struck an Appe autorickshaw on Monday night. Police said, the accident occurred at 6 pm Kalamna Market turning.

The injured are identified as Mukesh Brahmanand Bizlekar (32), a resident of Chikhli, Mahada Quarters, Q No. 326; Krishna Nikhilkar (28), Vinod Nikhilkar (38), Ganpat Bawne (65), Swapnil Shrirame (18), and Amar Thool (14).

According to information, a speeding truck (MH-31-AK-146), driven by Prakash Rajaram Hipse (27), struck the appe auto (MH-49-D-0271) of Mukesh near Kalamna Market turning. Mukesh was going back home back affter Durga visargan.

The injured were rushed to Indira Gandhi Government Medical College for treatment. Cops arrested Hipse, a resident of Ghodma, Kuhi, and registered a case under Sections 279, 337, 338, 427 read with sub Sections 134 and 177 of the IPC.
