Shrimad Bhagwat Katha to be organized in city from August 28 to mark Shrikrishna Janmashtami Mahotsav

Nagpur: Vishva Shanti Seva Charitable Trust, Delhi is organizing Shrimad Bhagwat Katha in Nagpur from August 28 to September 5 on the occasion of Shrikrishna Janmashtami Mahotsav c. Organised for the first time in Nagpur, the Shrimad Bhagwat Katha will be held from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm at local Reshimbagh Ground. The discourses will be delivered by Parampujya Shri Devkinandan Thakurji Maharaj of Vrindavan. The Astha Channel will telecast this Bhagwat Katha live on its channel.

A grand Kalashyatra will be taken out on August 28 to mark the beginning of Bhagwat Katha. On August 29, Maharaj will deliver discourse on the topic ‘Vyas Narad Samvad and Kunti Stuti.’ On August 30, the discourse will be on ‘Kapil Devhuti Samvad, Sati Charitra and Dhruv Charitra.’ The devotees will enjoy the discourse on ‘Jadbharat Samvad, Nrusinha Avatar and Vaman Avatar’ on August 31. Shriram and Krishna Janmotsav are slated on September 1. The discourse on September 2 will be on ‘Bhagwan Krishna ki Bal Lila, Govardha Puja and Chappan Bhog.’ The September 3 will see Maharaj delivering Katha on ‘Uddhav Charitra and Rukhmini Vivah.’ The devotees will enjoy Katha on ‘Dwarika Lila, Sudama Charitra, Parikshit Moksha and Vyas Pujan Purnahuti’ on September 4. On September 5, from 9 pm to 12.30 am, Shrikrishna Janmashtami is being celebrated. The chief hosts of this Bhagwat Katha are Ghanshyam Panpaliya and Pushpadevi Panpaliya while the chief hosts of Mahotsav are Meera Chandrabhan, Sandhya Krishna Khopde and Kanta Devi Santosh Kumar Agrawal.

Various Committees have been formed for the celebration of the grand Bhagwat Katha and Shrikrishna Janmotsav. At Katha place, a massive 40,000 sq ft pandal has been erected to accommodate 25,000-30,000 devotees who will be provided all the necessary facilities. Various stalls having religious literature and books would be set at the pandal. The Chief Guests of the programme will be Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, former MP Banwarilal Purohit, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, Mayor Pravin Datke, MPS Ajay Sancheti, Vijay Darda, MLAs Krishna Khopde, Mitesh Bhangdiya, MLC Anil Sole and other prominent personalities.
