Nagpur: Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal is set to organize the celebration of Shri Krishna Avtar on Saturday, 16th August and Gopalkala on Sunday, 17th August, with great spiritual fervor and devotion.
As per Convenor Adv. Madhavdas Mamtani, preparations for the Sindhi festival ‘Thaddi’ (also known as Thaddari) will begin on Thursday, 14th August, and the celebration will take place on Friday, 15th August (Saptami).
The sacred occasion of Janmashtami (Ashtami), marking the Avtar of Lord Shri Krishna, will be observed on Saturday, 16th August with Satsang, Kirtan, and Discourse scheduled from 6:00 am to 8:30 am at the Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal Hall.
On Sunday, 17th August (Navami), commemorating Gopalkala—the appearance of Shri Krishna in Gokul—there will be a group recitation of Panch Shri Japuji Sahib and Shri Sukhmani Sahib starting at 2:00 pm, followed by Gurbani Kirtan and a discourse at 5:00 pm. Esteemed preacher Dada Madhavdas Mamtani ‘Vakil Sahib’ will deliver a special sermon on Shri Krishna’s Avtar from the revered Shri Dasam Granth.
Convener Dada Vakil Sahib shared that Shri Krishna’s divine life is described in many religious texts, notably in the Shri Dasam Granth, composed by Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This granth is venerated at Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib (Nanded), Takhat Harimandir Sahib (Patna Sahib), and several other Gurudwaras across India. Guru Gobind Singh Ji stated that listening to and singing the Katha of Shri Krishna helps remove sorrows and bring inner peace. The Dasam Granth includes detailed accounts of 24 incarnations of Hindu deities.
The celebrations will conclude with Aarti, Stuti of the Eleven Gurus and Maa Bhagwati (as mentioned in the Dasam Granth), Anand Sahib, Ardaas, and distribution of Prasad.
Convenor Adv. Madhavdas Mamtani warmly invites all devotees and members of the community to attend these spiritually uplifting events in large numbers.
