Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal celebrates Janmashtmi with religious fervour

Nagpur. On the occasion of Shri Krishna’s Avtar Diwas Shri Kalgidhar Satsang Mandal organised Gurbani Kirtan from Dasam Granth written by Shri Guru Gobind Singh. Dada Madhavdas Mamtani ‘Vakil Sahib’, enlightened thousands of devotees present about life of Shri Krishna described in Dasam Granth.

Dada Madhavdas Mamtani explained about celebrating the birth of Shri Krishna on Janmashtmi that the Avtar of Shri Krishna took place in the mid-night of Ashtami. That night, apart from Mother Devaki and Vasudev, no one else was aware of Krishna Avtar. Therefore, we celebrate the Avtar of Shri Krishna on Janmashtmi. The next day the people of Gokul got the news of Shri Krishna’s birth, so the next day Gopalkala is celebrated.

Shri Krishna Avatar was celebrated with recitation of Panch Shri Japuji Sahib, Shri Sukhmani Sahib, satsang-discourse etc. Dada mentioned Shri Krishna Avatar from Shri Dasam Granth written by Shri Guru Gobind Singh and informed the devotees that when the earth was burdened with sins, it came to the shore of Kshirsagar, Brahma ji also reached there, then Akal Purakh called Shri Vishnu and ordered that you should go to the earth and take the Avtar of Shri Krishna. By the order of Akal Purakh, Lord Vishnu incarnated in the form of Shri Krishna in Mathura Mandal for the benefit of the saints.

Throwing light on the Avtar of Shri Krishna, Dada said that in the prison house of Kansa, Shri Vishnu appeared before Mother Devaki wearing yellow clothes, holding a conch, mace, trident, kirpan, bow and armour on his body. Mother Devaki seeing Lord Vishnu in front of him, she bowed at his feet. As soon as Shri Krishna appeared, all the gods and goddesses became happy and showered flowers.

Incarnate great Avtar are not born but they appear. The mother feels that she is pregnant but in reality she is not pregnant. A normal mother feels a child in her womb, the child goes through the process of delivery, all these processes are not applicable to Avtari powers. Similarly, Shri Krishna has appeared, he is unborn. Seeing the mother bowing down, Shri Krishna spread his magical power and took the form of a normal child and lay down next to the mother. Confused by illusion, the mother thought that she had been blessed with a son. In this way, to suppress the evil, Lord Vishnu himself appeared in the world in the form of Shri Krishna.

Dada Madhavdas Mamtani said that Shri Guru Gobind Singh ji has given many blessings to listen and sing the ryhmes of Krishna Avatar described in the Dasam Granth, such as, all the sorrows will vanish and who-so-ever will listen to the praises of the Lord, he will not again assume the form of a human being and will not get burnt in the fire of sin, all his worries will vanish and the sins of many births will be destroyed in a moment.

Dada Mamtani explained to the devotees present that apart from Shri Guru Gobind Singhji, the glory of Shri Krishna has also been described by other Gurus, Saints-Mahatmas, which is mentioned in Shri Guru Granth Sahib. Shri Guru Nanakdevji says in Asa Diwar that in Dwapar Yuga, Shri Krishna was the Avtar of God who destroyed the ego of Chandrawali Gopi, brought Parjat tree from heaven for the Gopis and performed Raas Leela with the Gopis in Vrindavan.
