While Shahid Kapoor fans wait eagerly to see him in Sanjay Leela Bansali’s, ‘Padmavati’, here’s a piece of news to take the excitement level up a notch!
Shahid, as reports suggest, might be cast in SLB’s next movie as well, which will be a contemporary love story. Looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali is mighty impressed by Shahid’s performance in his upcoming film Padmavati. The movie also stars Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone.
According to a report, a source said-“Shahid is the surprise package in Padmavati. Everyone expects the focus to be on the dramatic conflict between Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, who play Alauddin Khilji and Padmavati, respectively. But Shahid has as much prominence in the script as his two co-stars.”
But the story doesn’t end here! What’s fascinating is the fact that Shahid entered the project as an outsider and now is very close to the filmmaker. SLB adores his daughter Misha and has let his guard down when it comes to being friends with the actors.
Here’s what the source further told further – “Not just Shahid but also his wife Mira; SLB has warmed up to the couple. And he adores their little daughter (Misha). SLB is not one to seek friendship with his actors. But this time, he has let his guard down. Shahid came on board as the outsider among the three protagonists. Both, Ranveer and Deepika, had worked with SLB twice in the past. Shahid was apprehensive about the experience, but it worked out really well.”
