Sex racket busted in Jaripatka, two women arrested, girl rescued

Nagpur: The Social Security Department of Crime Branch on Monday swooped on a house in Jaripatka and busted a sex racket being run by two women. A girl was rescued and the two women pimps were put under arrest.

The Crime Branch sleuths received a tip off that a woman named Sneha Amit Patil is in the business of luring young girls with handsome money and pushing them into flesh trade being run from the house of another woman named Kanta Bhaiyyalal Bhalerao in Kasturba Nagar, Jaripatka. Armed with the tip-off, a team of cops led by Senior Police Inspector Deepak Khobragade, Lady API A P Jaipurkar, API Y S Chaudhary and other policemen raided the house situated at Plot No. 74, Kasturba Nagar, Jaripatka. The cops rescued a girl and arrested the two women pimps running the sex racket. The arrested accused women have been identified as Kanta Bhaiyyalal Bhalerao (58), resident of Plot No. 74, Kasturba Nagar, Jaripatka and Sneha Amit Patil (29), resident of Indora, near Jetvan Boudha Vihar. The two women were found luring young girls and pushing them into flesh trade at the said house (brothel) for easy money. The brothel was being run very near to ‘Jeevankumar Arogyadham Ayurvedic Panchakarma Hospital and Research Institute’ in the area.

The two arrested women pimps have been booked under Section 370 of Prevention of Illegal Trafficking Act 1956 read with Sub-Sections 3, 4, 5, 7 of IPC.

The raid was carried under the directives of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) S K Tarwade, Deputy Commissioner of Police (EOW) Deepali Masirkar, and DCP (Crime) Ranjankumar Sharma.
