Nagpur: Tragedy struck as a 65-year-old senior citizen lost his life in a hit-and-run incident near Rajroyal Lawn, within the jurisdiction of New Kamptee Police Station. The victim, identified as Abdul Sattar Sheikh Rahman, a resident of Kamptee, was walking on the evening of February 7 when he was critically injured in a collision with an unidentified vehicle.

The driver fled the scene immediately after the accident, leaving Abdul Sattar severely injured.

Despite efforts to save him, Abdul Sattar succumbed to his injuries after being rushed to the Government Medical College and Hospital. The New Kamptee police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Motor Vehicles Act (MVA) in connection with the incident.
