Nagpur: The Nagpur Division of South East Central Railway (SECR) has decided to permit sale of only Rail Neer packaged bottle water at Gondia and Rajnandgaon stations. At rest of other stations where catering stalls have been allocated only six branded packaged bottle water of Kinley, Aquafina, Oxirich, Bibo, Bisleri and Bailey companies apart from Rail Neer has been permitted. The Division has been ensuring that the packaged bottle water of the said companies is available to passengers at the fixed rates. If the stalls or vendors are found selling water bottles of any other brand, strict action is taken against them.
Similarly, under the Swachh Neer initiative, water samples are tested from time to time through multi parameter field test kits under the leadership of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager K V Ramana. The tests are being carried out under the directives of DRM Shobhana Bandopadhyay. The SECR Nagpur Division is also keeping a close watch on maintenance of water coolers installed at different stations.
