Secretary of flat scheme, developer damage main pipeline, divert water supply; booked

Nagpur News: Jaripatka police have booked three persons including Secretary of an apartment scheme and Director of real estate developer on the charges of damaging NMC’s main water supply pipeline and diverting water through an illegal connection.

According to police, the accused Dayanand Chavan, Secretary of Marble Apartment, Director of C M Developers and another person Kailash Ghodeswar, all residents of Sant Lahanuji Nagar, Nagpur, indulged in damaging NMC’s 400 mm main water supply pipeline and diverting water supply through an illegal connection and thus put NMC at financial loss.

The accused also damaged the public property by their action. A complaint in this regard was lodged with Jaripatka Police Station by Abhi alias Rehman N A Rafiq (56), working in Main Office of Water Works Department, Dharampeth. Jaripatka PSI Urade has booked the accused under Section 430 of the IPC and Section 3 of Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984 and investigating the matter further.
