Nagpur: The incident of kidnap of a school-going girl-student and her rape under threat has come to the fore under MIDC police station, here in the city. The incident occurred on July 23.
According to police, when a 16-year old girl, resident of MIDC area, was going to school by walk on July 23, the accused Raja Dinesh Narote, aged 32, intercepted and forcibly picked her up against her will saying that he would drop her at school, and then he took her to Nildoh area and raped her. After committing the offence he fled the spot. He also threatened her of life if she told any one what all had happened. However, the girls narrated the incident to her family members, who in turn lodged a complaint with the police. The police has registered offence under sections 376, 363 and 366 IPC against the accused. Further investigation is underway and the police in hunting for the accused.
