The year-end has brought about a big whiff of change to the Nagpur food scene. From new restaurants and cafes opening to much more, the biggest game-changer has been food-festivals. Apart from the Tandoori Nights food festival happening at Tirpude College this month, another mega food festival is knocking on our doors already!

Just 5 days to go – Nagpur will be the host to the Maharashtra Food Festival 2016 organised by Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) and VED (Vidarbha Economic Development) Council. As the name suggests, this festival will highlight cuisines and food preparations from all over the state. The cuisines being highlighted are Varhadi, Saoji, Malvani, Konkani and Khandeshi.

What makes this festival unique is that more than 200 chefs from all over the state will travel to Nagpur and make this the most authentic Maharashtrian food experience that you will have in the city. Mutton, fish, non-vegetarian and vegetarian delights capturing the essence of the region made by experts themselves – our mouths are already watering! And plus – you have a parcel facility available to take all this great food home.

The festival will be held from the 6th to 11th December, 2016.

A six day extravaganza of food to be experienced in Nagpur winters. We cannot wait!
