Sandipani Founder’s Day celebrated

MKP_3337Nagpur: The 60th Anniversary of the Founder of Sandipani School Shrikant Jichkar was celebrated as Shri Shri Parva with enthusiasm at Vasantrao Deshpande Hall on September 13 and 14. The Chief Guests included Danseuse Madkholkar (Nrutya Guru) and Head of the Department of Lalit Kala Department, RTMNU Dr Vinod Indurkar.

The students of Sandipani, Civil Lines Branch presented various programmes under the concept “Raag Rang Ghanshyam”. The students mesmerized the audience with dances based on the ragas like Malkans, Natbhairav, Todi, Pahadi, Darbari Kanda, Shivranjini etc.

The students of Hazaripahad presented a dance-drama based on the concept “Twameva Bandhucha Sakha Twameva”.  The students had presented the brother-sister relationship of Shrikrishna and Subadra in a very interesting and exiting manner. Various events from the life of Subhadra, right from her birth to marriage were depicted beautifully. The audience applauded every scene.

The speciality of the programme dedicated to Lord Shrikrishna and Shrikant Jichkar was that every song and dance was envisaged under the able direction of Lata Thergaonkar and the teachers of the schools.

During the programme, the meritorious students of X and XII (of CBSE and SSC Board) were felicitated by the Chief Guests.

The success of the entire programme was credited to Chairman of Sandipani School Rajshri Shrikant Jichkar, Chief Advisor Lata Thergaonkar, Manager of the School Mrunalini Kale, Principal Bharti Bijwe, Shanti Menon, Vice-Principal Malka Faizuddin, all the Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff and the students’ exemplary efforts.
