Sahukari debts worth Rs 5,69,45,065 waived off for 3401 farmers of Nagpur district so far

Nagpur: Sahukari debts worth Rs 2,92,19,000 waived off for 1756 farmers or their family members belonging to Bhivapur, Saoner, Kuhi, Parsheoni, Mouda, Katol, Narkhed, Ramtek, Hingna and Nagpur (Rural), informed District Collector Sachin Kurve in the fifth meeting of District Level Committee held at Chhatrapati Sabhagruh at Collectorate here in the city on Friday.

Present on the occasion were representative of Nagpur (Rural) SP, Ratansingh Yadav, District Dy Registrar Satish Bhosale, D S Parse, T N Chavan, Ashok Giri, Sukhdeo Kolhe, Prakash Bhajani, Manjusha Garate, Sanjana Agarkar, R N Vasu, Shitalkumar Yadav, Sachin Gosavi, Balasaheb Tere and others.

As many as 1758 farmers had taken loans from 121 licence-holder sahukars.

So far, debts worth Rs 5,69,45,065 have been waived off for 3401 farmers of Nagpur district so far. They had taken loans from 196 licence-holder sahukars in the district.

Collector Kurve told the officials concerned that if any farmer of his family is still remaining deprived of debts waiver drive, their cases be put up by November 17, 2015 before taluka level assistant registrars.
