RTMNU’s 104th convocation on December 3

Nagpur: The 104th convocation of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) will be held on December 3 at Suresh Bhatt Auditorium in Reshimbag. On this occasion All India Technical Education Council Chairman Dr Anil Sashtrabuddhe will be the chief guest while Vice-Chancellor Dr Siddarth Vinayak Kane will preside over the programme. The function will begin at 10 am. This was informed by Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr Pramod Yewale at a press conference organised by Nagpur University. Addressing the media persons, Dr Yewale informed that during this convocation 2 DLitt, 769 PhDs, 12,878 postgraduate and 43,610 graduate degrees would be presented.

Dr Malti Sakhare of Nagpur University will be presented D Litt for her research in Pali language. Dr Yewale informed that Pali Department was started in Nagpur University in 1958. Since then, this for the first time that someone has got DLitt. Besides her, Dr Kadera Talib Sheikh will be presented DLitt for his research in education.

This year during convocation, university will present 296 gold medals, to 169 students 100 silver medals and 100 prizes to 42 students. Sahil Shyam Dewani of G H Raisoni Law School will be presented 20 medals and prizes. These include 13 gold, 4 silver medals and 3 prizes. Nisha Devanand Khotale, of Gondia’s Dhote Bandhu Science College, student of BSc will get 16 medals. Sheetal Wasnik of Dr Babasheb Ambedkar law College, Student of 3 year LLB course will get 14 medals and prizes.
